Global, regional, and country-specific updates and case studies will be presented and discussed to highlight progress and current/future priorities for vector control across the Asia Pacific.
The APMEN Working Groups must work in synergy to fully consider the malaria elimination context in individual countries. This first joint APMEN Working Group meeting is an opportunity to discuss cross-cutting topics affecting Country Partners. There will be brief presentations from Country Partners on national strategies and capacity.
Aims: To highlight and share progress and lessons learned on vivax malaria and the challenges on the path towards elimination.
Aims: To discuss the challenges and identify solutions and action points for national malaria programmes to move towards implementing case-based surveillance and response activities.
Objective: The course aims to develop in-country team equipped with necessary knowledge and skills to support capacity building and application of IVM approach.
Expected output: All participants could be able to recognize the important locally prevailing vectors of human diseases, perform and train others regarding in IVM strategies and develop an action plan for implementing pilot activity on IVM.
